Who we are

Clarity Training provides online health and safety training. We are the controller of the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us about it at info@trainingclarity.co.uk.

What we collect and why

Early access list

If you join the list we collect your email address and, if you choose to give them, your name, organisation, the size of your team and the subjects you are interested in. We also record when you gave consent, the wording you agreed to, the page you signed up on and the network (IP) address used, so we can show that you asked to hear from us.

We use this to email you about the launch of our courses and our founding customer offer. Our lawful basis is your consent. We send one email first to confirm your address, and we do not add you to the list until you confirm.

Contact form

If you send us a message we collect your name, email address, organisation (if given) and your message, so we can reply. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.

Using the website

Our server keeps standard logs (network address, pages requested, browser type and time) to keep the site secure and working. We set a session cookie that the site needs to work and to protect forms from misuse, and we remember your choice of light or dark theme in your browser. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We use service providers to run the website: our hosting provider, our encrypted backup storage provider and, once configured, an email delivery provider. They act on our instructions and must keep the information secure. Our server is in Europe and our backups are stored in the Netherlands.

How long we keep it

• Early access list: until you unsubscribe, or until our launch communications end, whichever is sooner. If you unsubscribe we keep your email address on a suppression record so we do not contact you again.
• Unconfirmed sign-ups: deleted automatically if not confirmed within 30 days.
• Contact messages: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and then for up to two years in case you contact us again.
• Server logs: for a short period for security purposes.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your personal information, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time, for example by using the unsubscribe link in any email. To exercise a right, email info@trainingclarity.co.uk.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).

We will update this notice when our services change, including before learner accounts open. The date below shows when it was last updated.
